Individual Online Subscriptions

Individuals who are members of the American Osteopathic Association or who subscribe to the print version of The Journal can activate an online subscription with their AOA member ID and DO-Online passwords.

AOA members and individual subscribers who do not already have DO-Online accounts should take the following steps:

  1. Log on to the DO-Online Web site at http://www.do-online.org.
  2. Click the "Create an Account" link at the top right of the home page.
  3. Click "I Agree" to the "Terms of Use Agreement."
  4. Type in your AOA ID number, and click "continue." (Your AOA ID is the first six digits of the number in the top left corner of the mailing label on any of your print copies of The Journal.)
  5. Click the link "Click Here to Have Your Registration Key E-mailed to You." (If your e-mail address is not current in the AOA database, please e-mail your name and AOA ID number to info{at}osteotech.org to obtain your registration key.)
  6. Once you receive an e-mail from info{at}osteotech.org, click on the link provided in that message. The fields on DO-Online for your registration key and e-mail address will be populated automatically.
  7. Create a password with at least six characters (letters, numbers or both). Be sure to record your password for future use.
  8. Retype the password to confirm it. You will then receive a message telling you that your registration is complete.

AOA members and individual subscribers will be prompted to provide their AOA IDs and DO-Online passwords the first time they select an access-controlled article. Once they provide that information, they will have access to the JAOA's entire Web site for the rest of their visit.

Alternatively, AOA members and individual subscribers will be able to access the JAOA if they are logged on to DO-Online by clicking on the menu item "My AOA." They will then be able to select "JAOA" from the drop-down menu. From the next window, they will be able to log on to the JAOA's Web site.
