The Multicenter Osteopathic Pneumonia Study in the Elderly (MOPSE) is a hospital-based, prospective randomized controlled trial designed to evaluate the efficacy of osteopathic manipulative treatment. and was coordinated by the A.T. Still Research Institute of A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Mo. The MOPSE protocol was influenced by findings in early osteopathic medical literature.
