About the Cover:

Beginning on page 273 Frederick J. Goldstein, PhD, Saul Jeck, DO, Alexander S. Nicholas, DO, Marvin J. Berman, DO, and Marilyn Lerario, BSc, discuss the results of their randomized double-blind controlled trial in which they investigated the efficacy of preemptive administration of morphine sulfate and postsurgical osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) for treatment of patient pain after total abdominal hysterectomy. Administration of opioids is a common postoperative procedure, providing an excellent parameter for evaluating the efficacy of postsurgical OMT.
