Myasthenia gravis, a chronic neuromuscular disorder, can lead to various
degrees of neurologic dysfunction. For family physicians, a patient with
myasthenia gravis may present a diagnostic dilemma. The aim of this review is
to familiarize family physicians with the clinical features, electrodiagnostic
testing methods, and the treatment and care of patients with myasthenia gravis
so they can take an active role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients
with myasthenia gravis. Led to a better understanding of myasthenia gravis,
family physicians may have better interactions with consulting neurologists,
all the better to benefit patients.
