About the Cover: Beginning on page 149, Sun et al used the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey: 1999 Summary to compare the practice patterns of osteopathic and allopathic physicians in the management of musculoskeletal disorders in the family practice setting. Results of the study demonstrate differences in the pattern of clinical practice between osteopathic and allopathic physicians in the management of patients with musculoskeletal disorders. These differences may be attributed to the dissimilarities in tradition, philosophy, and health care delivery between the schools, despite many shared principles related to health and diseases.
